Hey, I'm Juliette
Project manager. Parent. An expat residing in Lyon, France.
A few years back, I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term assignment gradually opened a new chapter of my life overseas.
How It Started
Moving to France wasn’t part of the grand plan. Like many expat moves, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something much more significant.
The early months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, new routines, fresh expectations. Everyday tasks seemed more complicated than they should.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and a lot of learning by doing. But gradually, routines took shape. We found places that suited us, connected with other families, and began building something that felt steady.
Why I Built KuroZaviDovi
Most information online was either corporate relocation advice or surface-level tourism material. What was missing was honest, day-to-day family perspective.
This site exists to fill that gap — practical guidance drawn from real life in France.
